Functional Description

The ISA Bus Controller is part of the Ali M1543C southbridge chip. There is no physical ISA bus in the ES40, but some of the other parts of the Ali chip are logically connected to an ISA bus. The actual ISA bus is not emulated. This device, in the emulator fullfils the following functions:

• Programmable Interrupt controller (PIC)
• Programmable Interval Timer (PIT)
• Parallel Port (LPT)
• Time-Of-Year (TOY) Clock
