News: ES40 Emulator Presentation at OpenVMS Bootcamp

On Wednesday, May 21st, from 7:30 PM until 9:00 PM, Camiel will be doing a presentation about the ES40 Emulator at the OpenVMS Advanced Technical Bootcamp in Nashua, NH. More information and registration at the HP website. This session is not on the Agenda, but is part of the "Birds-of-a-Feather" sessions. You can find it in the session abstracts as session # 211. Note that the agenda is filled to the brim with interesting sessions from top speakers from OpenVMS development and the OpenVMS community. Only 28 out of 200 seats remaining.

The ES40 Emulator Project aims to create portable emulator for the HP (DEC, Compaq) AlphaServer ES40. The current version is capable of running OpenVMS with some limitations. The goal is to have a drop-in replacement for real ES40's. Emulates the Alpha AXP EV68CB processor and other devices.

Download the emulator from SourceForge, and either compile it yourself from the sources, or install a pre-compiled package.
