News: ES40 Emulator Presentation at OpenVMS Bootcamp

On Wednesday, May 21st, Camiel delivered a presentation about the ES40 Emulator (PowerPoint slides) at the OpenVMS Advanced Technical Bootcamp in Nashua, NH. The presentation was well attended, and received the "Best Birds-of-a-Feather Session" award during Thursday's award dinner.

The ES40 Emulator Project aims to create portable emulator for the HP (DEC, Compaq) AlphaServer ES40. The current version is capable of running OpenVMS with some limitations. The goal is to have a drop-in replacement for real ES40s, emulating the Alpha AXP EV68CB processor and other devices.

Play with it!

Download the emulator from SourceForge, and either compile it yourself from the sources, or install a pre-compiled package.
